Saturday Morning Poll

If my friend was struggling with something that I could do easily, I would help them in a heartbeat. They wouldn't even have to ask. So, I asked one of the Cheeburger owners to write a testimonial for SnappyOrder.com. He said he's not a good writer and asked me to write it and that he would just sign it. I agreed, though I know nothing about writing, let alone writing a testimonial! After a week or so of stressing out about it, I finally put something together. It was about a page long and pretty detailed. I sent it to Brian to proofread and fix and he sent me a short quote and said "here is your testimonial"!!! It took him literally 2 minutes. Why would he make me write it if he could do it in 2 minutes?? I was pissed! Like really annoyed! So I sent it to the owner to read to make sure it was okay and he wanted to change something about it. SOO I told Brian what needed to be changed and HE WON'T CHANGE IT! I mean, I understand that maybe he is not doing it so I can learn how to do it myself, but I've never even freaking seen a testimonial! I JUST CAN'T WRITE! Why do you think I didn't finish school...CAUSE I CAN'T WRITE OR DO SPEECHES!!!!!!!

Saturday Morning Poll:

Would you help a friend with something you could do so easily?

I think you should change the subjects of your "Saturday Morning Poll" to "What I'm Disagreeing with Brian about"

I am trying to teach Michelle to be more independent and make HER OWN decisions, which is one reason why she was to write the testimonial on her own. After WEEKS of unnecessary stressing to write something that is very insignificant (Quickbooks could've been updated 3000000 times with the amount of time you spent on the stupid testimonial), I wrote a decent testimonial for the lazy a** owner. She forwards the testimonial to the owner and he says he doesnt like it and wanted us to change a part of it.

She told me what to change and I refused to do it...because #1 it is a VERY simple change she can make on her own. #2 If the owner didnt like it he can change it himself!! He told us to write what we want and he'll sign it.

We also asked the VP of Operations for Cheeburger Cheeburger to write a testimonial for us and he whipped up his TRUE thoughts in a VERY GOOD testimonial in probably 5 mins. Not THREE WEEKS like it has taken for this nonsense stupid testimonial!!!!!

So MICHELLE...stop being lazy. Don't give up because you "don't know" how to do something. You aren't in 5th grade. It is to your advantage to expand your knowledge. You will never get anywhere in life if you do not make your own decisions and accept new and exciting challenges.

PS: Have the testimonial done ASAP!

-Brian

michelle, i so agree w/ you!!! why can't people understand that we simply just can not write!! And yes, if someone couldn't right I would help them without question! I don't think they understand that writing is very challenging for us and we are not going to learn how to do it unless we take writing classes for dummies or something like that...we just can't get our thoughts on to paper people!!!!

It's like someone coming to me and asking me to help them with a scrapbook...they obviously do not know how to do it. I don't expect them to bust out a scrapbook, especially if they asked for help....that's the key guys, if we knew how to do it we wouldn't ask you guys for help!!!!!

and brian, i agree that the guy should have done it himself esp. if we wanted changes!

There is a difference between "asking for help" and "doing the work for someone". Michelle was not asking for help. She was demanding that I do it AND make the changes.

PLUS you DO NOT need to take a writing class to write a testimonial. We are not asking for anything elaborate or out of the ordinary. I've never taken a writing class and I suck at writing too but I came up with something using the best of my abilities.

You dont fucking suck at writing and you know it! I DID NOT demand it, otherwise I would not have written one myself. I mean...you read what I wrote. I OBVIOUSLY don't know how to write one. whatever. forget it. i'll make the changes and I won't ask you for help again, or according to you, demand anything from you!

Mishy, forward it to me and I'll help you. I have no problem writing. Brian, I understand the principle behind what you're doing, and I don't disagree. But sometimes people just hate to do things, like write, or in my case, COOK (although I am trying...). I see both of your sides.

mish...i agree with brian's principles if he is being 100% honest. and i also agree with the writing thing. it's a skill that either you have or you dont, like drawing or cooking. you can learn to fine tune what skills you have (practice makes perfect) but it either comes easy to you or its too hard. HOWEVER...it's a testimonial, not a best-selling novel. testimonials are gay as hell i.e. those RETARDED eharmony commercials. "i like how easy snappy order makes my business flow. it makes ordering faster, it sped up my busines...blah blah blah." five sentences of garbage bullshit. not everything will come easy to you. good life lesson. you can't ignore or avoid what's not easy to you. YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD IN EVERYTHING. I am still trying to grasp this life lesson, i like being lazy!

i dont expect everything to come to me easily. shuttup you idiot, dina! hahaaaaa
fyi: you guys probably think all me and brian do is fight, when in all actuality, we agree on almost everything in life, right brian?
